How Quality Assessment Makes a Difference

Every wonder how a thorough quality improvement process in out-of-school time programming works and what it would achieve? The California Afterschool Network explains that and more in this 14-minute video that tells the experience of two very different California networks that adopted the Youth Program Quality Intervention: in Oakland and Black Oak Mine. This video, the narrator explains, "will show you one way afterschool programs can take a good, realistic look at their programming, figure out what they're doing well and what they need to do better."

The Youth Program Quality Intervention is a validated process that gives out-of-school time programs feedback about instructional quality and workforce development needs.
