Ready by 21 Looks to Atlanta Women's Leadership Group
On Dec. 10, the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta made Ready by 21 the focus of its annual "Coffee & Community" breakfast.
A panel of experts, including Georgia First Lady Mary Purdue, explained to about 200 local women leaders that Ready by 21 is a set of strategies to improve outcomes for children and youth. Experts from Georgia Family Connection Partnership, Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, Communities in Schools of Georgia and United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta spoke about their roles in Ready by 21. The Forum sent Policy Director Elizabeth Gaines, who suggested ways in which the members of the Women's Leadership Council can get involved in and contribute to Ready by 21 in Atlanta.
The United Way announced the event through a news release (below).
