Andrea Felix

This self-proclaimed “service nerd” joined the Forum in 2008 after serving in the Peace Corps, and now manages relationships with our many clients, partners and funders.

While in the Peace Corps in the Eastern Caribbean (2005-07), Andrea helped to establish an annual awards program that recognizes and positions youth as positive contributors to society, not as problems to be fixed. Before that she worked for Youth Service America, where she managed the organization’s National Youth Council.

She further burnished her “service nerd” label as an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow (having served with Youth Service America and San Francisco's Promise), and continues as a volunteer tutor with Horton’s Kids, a nonprofit youth service agency in Washington.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Fitchburg State College (Massachusetts) and is pursuing a master's degree in public administration at University of Maryland University College.
